Can any one tell me what the pressure sensor is for on No.3 glow plug and if the pressure sensor failed will the car go into limp mode or just stop , I ask as I had a glow plug no.4 give up last week and the garage changed all three bar this one, sales man said if it gives a issue he will change it but not until then now my rule of thumb is change all four as good practice and its now summer and glowplugs generally dont give trouble this time of year but I dont want to be replacing it n the winter as car will be out of warranty then.
if it failed does it have to be coded to the engine/ecu or is it just plug and play.

It monitors combustion pressure to help the ECU achieve better and cleaner combustion and they do fail but usually leave a code and bring on the light.
