It sounds like just a basic electrical fault.

You need a good auto electrician who has a wiring diagram for this model.

He can then track down why there is no power to Can Gateway amongst other things.

It might even just be a blown fuse.

thanks for reply, A bit more info (as its my brothers car and he had not given all info)-
I was driving along the motorway about 70 MPH and everything was as normal when all of a sudden the car shut off. A gear box warning then came on the dash followed by others warnings. I pulled the car over on to the hard shoulder and brought the car to a stop. I tried to re-start the car but there was nothing.

While sitting there, after about 5 minutes the car dash lit up and showed signs of life however the car would not respond in anyway apart from showing a list of warnings and allowing the windows to go up & down. Other than the windows the car would not respond in anyway, no hazards etc. After about a minute or so, the car would shut off again as if the battery was completely dead. This sequence would randomly repeat . The best way to describe it would be to say the car was having a fit/ seizure that would last a min or so then back to completely dead and.IMG-20210606-WA0007.jpgIMG-20210606-WA0008.jpgIMG-20210606-WA0009.jpgIMG-20210606-WA0010.jpgIMG-20210606-WA0011.jpg hope this gives someone out there more of a clew as to where prob may lay. Many thanks.
