    I have an A3 1.9Tdi 2009 P1 3 door

Yesterday the locking mechanism seemed to start playing up
The driver's side will lock on the button (I hear the sound) but will not unlock.no sound
The passenger side will not unlock after two clicks on the button, no sound
The passenger side will not lock after a click on the button, no sound
Both doors will open from inside because of the pull wire
The tailgate will lock and unlock without a problem
Previously both doors would open and lock without a problem.
Last year in August, I did a repair to the driver's door see the YouTube video
What really puzzles me is the passenger door no sound locking or unlocking whatsoever or is this just coincidence
So the question is "it fuse related" or just coincidence that it has happened this way, i.e. both doors same time.
Just a thought can this be seen or cleared via my OBD scanner
    I followed this explicitly.

I can’t see a generic OBD scanner being able to access address 46 central convenience system. Do you have any signs of screen wash fluid in the right of the boor area? The unbelievably unreliable 8P rear wiper motor (this must be the most unreliable part in VAG history) leaks water into the tailgate. Then when you open the tailgate, the fluid runs down the inside of the tailgate, into the wiring conduit, into the roof area and then runs down the C pillar where it drips straight onto the plug for the central convenience system; I have lost count of the number of times I have seen this.

    Hi there Crasher
My OBD scanner was a Foxwell (what a load of rubbish that was I have sent it back) I now have a MaxiEcu and I thought before I start taking door cards off try the OBD route.
With regards to the "rear wiper etc." have you checked the rubber grommet / seal to see if it has perished ?
