    Hi all,
I’ve recently replaced my rear pads after the sensor triggering a warning light and I’m aware that the fronts aren’t looking much better, so.....

Has anyone had any experiences with uprated front brake pads? In particular pads for the Brembo 4 piston calliper (3.0tdi and 2.0tfsi models).
Something like Ferodo DS2500’s or EBC’s Red or Yellow stuff pads?

    Thanks,

    Steve

ATE ceramic pads .. I will never put anything else since experiencing those... No noise, no dust, stop better than the original ones. win-win for me.

I ordered from (auto)+(doc) /sorry for the silly format, the forum removes it otherwise/.
You will need your exact part number - I suggest you use ATE online parts catalogue to identify what you need (just Google this, and use only the genuine site!). I replaced both rotors and pads (just the standard still ATE rotors). ATE recommended "smooth" rotors with the ceramic pads (no grooves/dimples/...).
PM me if you get stuck.

    ATE haven't a performance advantage .

Have been buying Redstuff myself for 15 years but they're expensive .

I am not really bothered by cost, I’m half tempted to buy a set of S6 6pots and 400mm discs for the front......

Thanks for your input, it’s much appreciated!!!😁

I went for the Ferodo pads on the rear in the end as I’ve found them to be really good in the past…whilst I was at it I decided to give the callipers a lick of red paint too.

Still got the front callipers/discs to clean up and paint, as well as fit some EBC ‘Yellow Stuff’ pads. With the towing I do I want something a bit beefier, I just need to wait for a set of S6/S7 callipers/discs to come up on eBay 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I will report back once I’ve done the fronts and they’ve been bedded in👍🏻
