    Hi there, new here.

I believe I have a problem with my high pressure fuel pump (ouch). I can't really justify buying a brand new one, and am reluctant to buy from ebay. Does anyone know of anywhere that refurbishes HPFPs or sells them refurbished? Any other advice welcome too.

    Thanks in advance!

The AWA engine, I don’t see many of those! The pump new 06D 127 026 H is £341.01 genuine and doesn’t even come up as being available aftermarket which is a surprise as I think it is made by Hitachi and would normally be offered in their Hugo brand.

Thanks for the reply. Can I ask where you've seen the pump new for £340? I was under the impression they were over £1000.

06D 127 026 H WAS £341.01 genuine Audi plus VAT which I forgot to add but I have checked and this is an omitted part and there is no UK stock. Audi Tradition in Germany have them FUEL PUMP 06D127026H > Audi Tradition - Vorsprung durch Technik and there are a lot more than they were but still less than £1000

    Thanks man, that's really helpful

I've ordered a new cam follower, hopefully it hasn't worn right through and shot the pump and the camshaft. Pray for me. Thanks again.

Inevitable next question: does anyone know if it’s possible to remove and replace the HPFP on an AWA engine with the head on? The bolts are all underneath and obstructed so you can’t even get tools in. I’ve got the throttle body off so far. Any thoughts welcome.

    Thanks in advance.

Have you removed the coolant pipe below the pump?
