    Hi All,

I need to do small repair to the lacquer on my 2008 A4.

Which rattle can of spray lacquer would you recommend?
I'm assuming not all cans are created equal so I want a good quality one that adheres and blends well with Audi paint work.

    Thanks!

When I paint a mirror cover or flap/blank I use VAG rattle can kits bit if I have some non edge break work, I get my local factor to mix me a custom rattle can colour then I use https://www.pro-xl.co.uk/product/proclear-high-gloss-lacquer/ and then https://www.pro-xl.co.uk/product/problend if I have any edge fade out to do, it is an excellent product BUT when it goes on it looks really odd even when dry, forming in what looks like some reaction but don’t panic; it is how it works. When dry use some 1000 grit wet and then machine with G3 and then G10 and the repair disappears. Another caveat, you need a very good respirator, even air fed as this stuff stinks like nothing I have ever tried, it is like breathing in vaporised paint stripper and done indoors it leaves a chest ripping odour for days. I made the mistake of just using a standard mask the first time I used it and it took me weeks to get over it.

I also used Audi original clearcoat in spray can. Worked great on small chips and on larger sections on fender too.
