For my last C8 I purchased Kufatec dongles to activate Traffic Sign Recognition and High Beam Assist. I know that when used the dongles are updated with the car's VIN so it cannot be used on another vehicle. I would like to activate these on my new C8 and am wondering if anyone knows if it is possible for Kufatec to reset the dongle (in exchange for £s ) so that the dongle can be used on a new vehicle. With issues (and costs) for things being shipped from Europe now we are not in the EU I am thinking this may be a cheaper and quicker option. I plan to speak to Kufatec but wanted to see if anyone had a proir experience or knowledge of this

    Had similar issue.
Always worth talking to Kufatec. Perhaps with a proof of your previous purchase they will offer some discount (at least)
The only other option is to go to someone that knows VCDS on C8 but these guys will also charge you.
Interested to see the outcome, please share it later on.
it is disappointing that they don’t activate it straight away for all models with the camera suitable to read the signs.

    One more thing
The additional advantage of a Kufatec dongle is ability to run it multiple times. After my last visit in Audi they wiped the road recognition off as they were updating the MMI satnav settings. It is rare but when it happens you may need to redo all the work. (Parameters data should stay untouched though)

    Good luck

eMailed Kufatec over the weekend and just got a response. They say they cannot reset the dongles remotely, I need to buy new ones. Also interesting that they cannot provide the Traffic Sign Recognition for MY21 cars, and this applies not only to the A6/A7 but also the Q7/Q8, VW Touraeg and the E-tron built from November 2019 onwards. Does this coincide with the change to MIB-3?

I think this has nothing to do with MIBs
All VAG vehicles from certain point in 2019 are not supporting OBD communication which I believe is lined to OBD lock to limit interference with settings using dongles like OBDELEVEN or Carly.
