    Hi

My local garage has diagnosed the issue with my clutch as the flywheel beginning to go (ok when cold but a big vibration just at biting point when car is fully warmed up - can be negated to an extent by upping the revs). They contacted all their usual suppliers who said they can't supply the parts and its a vw only part.

This resulted in them asking if i was sat down before providing the quote and I'm glad I was.

I've been searching online as I was surprised no one else produced the clutch kit and I'm confused as for my engine code (czea) it does appear to only relate to DSG boxes not manual ones and my garage mentioned the words DSG.

My questions are has anyone had a clutch and flywheel change on a manual 150 ACT and did you pay what would be considered a 'normal' amount for a general 150 bhp petrol car? And is the gearbox in this car shared between the dsg and manual version in its basic architecture?

    thanks

The pre 2016 flywheel on the CZEA engine was a known problem and was upgraded to part number 04E 105 266 N and yes, at £711.67 is a bit on the pricey side... However it is easily available (as is the clutch kit) from the OE manufacture LUK under their part number 415 0948 10 and they should be able fit it for you for around £300 and still make a profit for themselves and save you money.
