I’ve recently taken delivery of my 1.0 etsi mk8 and the dealer has provided some “free” mats as a gesture.

I noticed that they are a bit off in the passenger foot well, the clips are narrower in my car and the corner is cut off, I thought this was because they were mk7 mats, but I’ve read mk7 mats and mk8 are the same.

My question is, is anyone else with etsi engine noticing this?

VW parts only list one type of carpet.

    Thanks

The mats on ours fit perfectly, including the front passenger side, and no problem with the clip spacing either.

    Here's the front passenger mat....

...and here's the part no on the back

Thanks all, my dealer says that those mats are factory fitted as apposed to the accessory mats that won’t fit, I may have found a used set on eBay that seem to match the shape of yours Dave although they have different part numbers.
