Wireless Carplay Audio Quality

Hello guys, I have a question about the audio quality over wireless Carplay. So, I've been using Apple Music to download songs to my iPhone in order to use them in the car but I have noticed that the audio quality is kind of bad compared to the actual radio stations. I keep listening to low static (white noise?) in the background which is kind of distracting and annoying to be honest. Does anyone else have this kind of problem or has any solution for it ?

Did some extra checks and have found out that indeed the problem is Carplay. I don't know if it's the EQ that Apple has chosen or the quality that is being transferred but the same song played through a USB sounds SIGNIFICANTLY better than Carplay. It's clearer, crisper, louder and without any distortion.

Moreover if you turn sound check in the settings of Apple Music off, then the song sounds like something that I downloaded from Napster 20 years ago. I don't know why as I was under the impression that the main advantage of Carplay is the fact that it can transfer sound through Wi-Fi and that would result in a CD-like quality. I'm I the only one who experiences these problems ?? I would greatly appreciate any feedback.

I think it still is playing the music on the phone and just taking the audio via Bluetooth. Wireless carplay or android auto uses both Bluetooth and WiFi for connectivity.

If it's any consolation, Bluetooth audio from my android phone sounds utter garbage too.

I stopped using apple music , I really feel it was bad compared to others. I was getting bad streaming in car over wireless car play , bad sound quality as well . I have now signed up for you tube premium and the you tube music in car works great
