Hello, not asking for help, but recording my recent experience should anybody be in a similar position and looking 'for a pointer' as I was a few weeks ago. So, drops of clean oil were landing on our drive. Car up on my ramps, engine undertray removed. I could see that the transmission oil was not leaking out through the switch. I put a spanner on the switch with the intention of checking that it was not loose, though I could not undo it with my fingers. With only just the weight of the spanner the switch broke - fractured. It was a Saturday afternoon, but thankfully I found a local parts outlet that had a switch in stock. I was then worried about the condition of the threads, but even more thankfully, with a stud extractor the broken section unscrewed without any drama.
