The interior blower has stopped working on the wife's leon (2015 1.6 tdi tech, aircon and dials not climate control)
Aircon lights up as usual when you turn the fan control dial
Nothing at all from the fan on any setting even full
    Checked fuse - ok
popped the blower motor out, turns freely.
12 direct to the motor and works as it should
Which makes me think resistor pack.

However, when this happened on our 08 touran the fan would still work on the unresisted full speed setting whereas this one doesn't
With prices of resistor packs/new motors being around £155 is there anything else I can check to make sure it's definitely that before forking out?

With an 500 mile round trip next week need to try and get it sorted asap

    Thanks!

I can’t check the wiring diagram to remind myself of the logic but the controller is described as that and not a resistor and has a new part number 5WA 907 521.

Hi Crasher, thanks for the reply. good to see you're still about.
Swapped it for a known good fan and controller pack out of a mates and nothing.
Been googling and found loads of the traditional ' my blower only works on max' but only one about it not working at all.
That seemed to involve various trips to seat dealer replacing controller/fan/matrix and then the problem being found as the pressure sensor for the aircon.
Does that sound at all feasible?
The aircon switches on automatically every time you turn the fan on so am wondering.
Would it show up on vcds? (getting mine back off my mate tonight)
    Thanks.

Ran vcds this morning got this below.
I must be doing something wrong as neither of these codes seem to exist when searching on ross-tech.
google search gives no results either.
    Anyone got any pointers? thanks

Have you checked to see if the controller has power on the 2.5mm red/yellow wire?

    Thanks for the reply.
Yes, there's power to it (with ignition on and off)

Then looking at the diagram and knowing the controller/fan are OK, the problem must be with the signal from the I would say the problem must be the signal from the controller.

Thanks again. J301 on the diagram?
Wondering if it might be related to the thread I found where G805 pressure sensor was the culprit.
Do you know if there's any way of wiring the sender to 'fool it' to test it?
    Much appreciated,
    Steve

Yes the J301, I was having trouble making the diagram readable. The control line does go to the pressure sensor... try unplugging it and see what happens.

Sorry for the late reply. Been travelling.

I think I found it > flat4fanatic | Flickr but no difference when unplugged

    Things have got considerable worse.
On the way up, my wife swears it was timed with when I put the e/window down the abs and tps warning lights came on, went off a minute later, then back on permanently half hour afterwards. Noticed time had changed on clock at some point too. Later on after stopping start/stop system error, headlight range control error.

My wifes cousin managed to squeeze it in for a quick look. Apparently there were 20 odd low voltage errors (generic garage, not vcds) and the abs was showing nsr (the only error 2 days ago was in the thread above). Sensor changed, wiring checked back to the pump ok, so he wondered if it was the abs pump itself. Alternator charging well, battery about 70%.

On the way back winter tyre speed warning came up (it's never been switched on). Decided to replace the battery to rule that out as it was the original. All warnings still there but not got vcds with me to clear them. Fan still not working either!
