VCDS Coding for A6 C8 platform

My C8 has the mirror dip as standard. It’s a 2020 SLine

Yes, did that with bonnet open. Tried for unlock and lock. Doesn’t work.
Mirror dip does not work either when I move the switch to the passenger mirror.

Which app did you use? Could you post a screenshot of the chirp coding ?

Have you checked in your car menu settings if the option is ticked
After coding reset your MMI by holding power button for 10 sec. you should see the acoustic confirmation option in your settings.

If the mirror dip is the same as the C7 put the car in reverse with the mirror switch on passenger side, adjust mirror to where you want it, take car out of reverse. The mirror should now be set, the engine shouldn't need to be running when you do this but the ignition will need to be on.

This is the step I was missing! I could not remember it when I set my C7 4y ago! Thanks!

I have avant December 2018. Where in MMI do you have this setting? I may code it again and reset MMI.

I figured out that “Acoustic Confirmation” should be in the MMI Central Locking. I don’t have that this option there. I will try to enable it again and reset MMI tomorrow.
I wonder if MMI version has something to do with it. I know that I need 2470 version to enable wireless CarPlay. My version is much lower than that. I’ll ask dealership if they can upgrade MMI.

As I said earlier. I already have obd11 . App says that it is enabled and only gives me an option of changing the tone from standard to discontinues, etc. The MMI does not show the acoustic confirmation option. I have reset the MMI.

Do you have alarm system in your car. Chirp is using alarm sounder.
Also there are two apps
Make sure you choose right one
One app enables chirp
Second changes the tone type.

Figured it out! Sorry, I looked at the wrong option. Your screenshot made me realise that! It is working now and I got the tone option on the MMI.
I was looking at the alarm Lock/Unlock beep time!

You can tweak it further with long coding for example you can have chirp on locking only or change the number of chirps. You can also change the number of hazard light blinks at locking/unlocking
