    Golf 5 2.0 tdi
Hello, I have problem with my golf mk5 2.0 tdi (BMM ). When driving a little bit harder for 30-40 km car won' t accelerate on full throttle and starts to vibrate and jerk. After the jerking start car shuts down and won't turn on with key only with pushing. I changed fuel pump in reservoir and situation is a little bit better. Car now still vibrates and jerk but less agressive and does not shout down. Diagnostic does not show any fault.

Depending on the system you are using to read the codes, it may not pick anything up that is VAG specific rather than a generic OBD code BUT there is one common failure which causes your symptoms AND often does not leave a fault code and that is the G28 crankshaft speed sensor. When the car starts to run badly and cut out, don’t press the clutch and keep the engine turning with the cars inertia and at the same time, look at the rev counter. If the engine is still turning but the rev counter is reading zero then that is a good clue.

I have heard about that problem with crankshaft sensor but I don't think thats it because it doesn't cuts out after fuel pump has been changed.
