I know this maybe mad if I go over a railway bridge or similar is feels like the car loses power for a second then kicks in it’s happened a few times now over the same bridge every day and a few others I’ve noticed. Never happens at any other time and drives well

Is this a feature on the mark 6 or am I going crackers

Thanks I went over a bridge held the throttle the same at a bit higher revs and even though at first seemed ok as I went over a second or 2 later I did get a really small loss in power

Seems to do it down slight gradients too if I roll off the throttle a bit

I have read a VW Technical Product Information notice on this problem but don’t recall the issue and at the moment all my VW data I can access off line is in German although I may have an excuse to spend 7€ To have a look on elsaPro.

That could be part of its emissions strategy, some people find modern manual cars difficult to control slowly as the ECU keeps the engine from producing very high emissions that can be generated when an engine is close to its stall point so the ECU overrides the driver in the name of "saving the planet", it doesn't matter that it scares the **** of of people but the air is cleaner so that's all right.
