    Hi i have i vw golf mk6 1.6Tdi 2010 CAYC.
The problem is that the car starts dpf regeneration every 280km,rpm goes 1000 and i have to keep the car 15 minutes to finish the dpf regeneration.
The car has 271.000km, no fault codes stored
I have sent to VW and they made a software update but that doesnt make any difference.
    I have changed
    Egr genuine part
    Dpf pressure sensor
Changed Dpf taken from a car whith 60.000km
    Intake manfloid cleaned
Any opinion what to do whith this car?

From my own research that rate of regeneration is normal for the age and mileage. The ash does build over time and hence reduces the capacity of the dpf. So if it helps I do not think there is a fault, also if your driving is not always very short trips you can ignore any ongoing regens and do not have to keep car running. It will initiate one next time you drive.

Use recommended longlife low ash oil but target 12 month intervals - thanks to Crasher for pointing out

The vehicle also raises rpms to 1000 for heating purposes if the heaters are on and temps are below 7 or 8 degrees C. To check this turn heaters off and blip accelerator rpm should drop to 890 like normal

Hi when the old dpf was changed it was also cleaned in a dpf clean center and the ash load was reset later.
Also the dpf pressure sensor was calibrated
Whith my old dpf there was a bad smell of the exhaust whith the other that i changed the bad smell was gone this was the only difference.
I use only 0W/30 oil and the car doesnt burn oil
When dpf regeneration start the rpm doesnt goes 890rpm it stays 1000rpm for 15 minutes so.when it starts i have to put the car in highway for a ride to finish regeneration.
My concern is why it start to early dpf regeneration,i think that is a vw software problem to keep the emission norm ok.
    Ps
After last succeseful regeneration i make 280 km highway and drive a little in town boom dpf regeneration start this isnt a town driving problem.
