    Hi,

I have had all my injectors overhauled due to an intermittent misfire (Sticky injector - Mechanical), they are my injectors and I plan to put them back into the original place.

They have been reconditioned with new nozzles etc. by a very good company and are in spec.

What I cannot remember is do they need to be re-adapted if they go back into the correct cylinder.

2008 VW Passat 2.0 TDI CBAB Engine

    Many Thanks,
    Sonic.

They shouldn't need to be if the numbers are already present in the ECU and they are going to be in the same cylinder as before (unlike PD injectors which can go anywhere and need no assignment). Unless the car 'forgets' of course which can happen on odd occasions. Other things like valve timing would need to be set as optimally as possible however. Some procedures / monitoring may need VCDS or similar software diagnostics to help your engine perform at its best.

Put them back into their original place, fired up and ran no problem. No other things required doing apart from using VCDS to bleed system after filter change.
