Does anyone know VW send their parts to the UK. My STYLE has been with the dealer over a week now waiting for apparently a battery which drives the infotainment/electrics - I keep getting expected dates which come and die.
You would think they would get some sort of decent tracking so the part can be located exactly - whilst composing this the dealer phones and tells me ETA for the part is 10th March !
Think when it does eventually come back I may just bite the bullet and pay off early exit from the lease - my 3rd golf and I loved the other two but have now come to basically dislike this car -- mostly the screen system.

Shipping back and forth between Europe and the UK is in complete turmoil, all the carriers are in a state of despair with deliveries being refused and returned... some big names have given up for the time being. One of our major suppliers has had a container stuck in port since the beginning of January waiting to be checked in and signed out. If you want to blame anyone, point the finger at those who ticked leave.

The dealer tell me the problem is with a 48v battery that sits beneath the drivers seat -- they are now hopeful it will arrive this week

The cover has been revised from 24/08/20 production. I wonder how long these 48v Lithium Ion batteries are going to last? I have enough trouble getting people to spend £150 on a proper AGM battery on modern cars, telling someone their 48v battery is dead and a new one costs £934.46 is not something I am looking forward to.
