    Hi there...

I have polo GTI 2011 DSG gear box,

My car has Faulty exhaust sensor & left window motor broken as it can’t go up or down, (Window is up) (Waiting for local garage to get parts) always used him,

Today I put my right window all the way down to get some fresh air & now it can only go up a tiny bit or not at all, so covered it up for now,

Took it to my local garage at end of day he tried to help me get it back up but was busy with another customer & didn’t have the parts, so told me to ring breakdown green flag & they were not very helpful at all

Is there anyway I can get the window back up manually so I can keep it up and ask the garage to order parts, or I am screwed??

It will be the cable that has shredded and wrapped itself up, the only way is to remove the door card, release the glass clamps and lift the window up, securing it with tape whilst you install a new lifter mechanism, the new revised unit is 6R4 839 462 G which is £127.31

Thanks mate I have sealed the car up and gonna seal it better later on,

Have asked my Local Garage (About half min drive from my house) to Fix Exhaust Sensor and motor in left window (He looked at it and Diagnosed the problem) (Window went during cold spell in December) stuck all the way up, (Was meant to be done/fixed 8th jan) but due to issue getting parts he only doing service/mot at moment,

Also asked hm to fix the motor/cable in drivers side window.

Gonna wait till Friday/Monday the 28th Feb, If he hasn't got the parts etc will take to it VAG Garage near me as want it fixed ASAP

Also the battery is gone dunno why think I left light on lol.

Car is parked in permit space outside house as long as Window is sealed car is safe where it is.

other than that car runs fine,

So prob gonna be with out a car for another month or so if the garages are busy near me as VW Main dealer Said they got 2-3 waiting list just to be seen.

Any other advice will be appreciated

    Many thanks Josh
