    Just bought this and today tried the cruise control and can't get it to work? Any ideas . Can't be the clutch switch as its an auto (cvt)

    Brake switch is also connected to the cruise control system. Assume you have checked the brake lights come on when you push the pedal? The brake switch can also be checked with VCDS.

    Other than this, assume you have the cruise control engauged. You pull the stalk towards the driver, it has an off position when you push it away from the driver. Unless it's pulled towards you, it won't allow you to set the cruise speed. also the car has to be travelling over approx 20 mph before you can use cruise.

    Next things I'd be checking, is a VCDS scan of the car for errors. Using VCDS you can also test the cruise control stalk, brake switch (clutch switch when you have one). In the settings you can check the different positions of the stalk, e.g. on, off, increase speed, decrease speed, set.

    I'm pretty sure I put some notes in the pdf's I made the other year about testing the switch, but if not it's possible.

    Other than that, knowing it's coded correctly to the instrument cluser and engine, would be the last things to check if someone like me retrofitted it and it was not original factory fit, other than that, I'm not sure.
