Remote Locking/Unlocking

Apologies if this has been asked before, I have looked but couldn't find anything. I have just taken delivery of a 2021 Golf Style and am already frustrated by having to click on the key fob twice to unlock all the doors. On previous VAG cars I've had you could set it to open all doors on on press but I can't find this option anywhere in the manual or menus?

Can anybody help?

You can change it in the software on the infotainment system. I only need one press to unlock all doors on mine, also a Style

Sorry, no I was thinking of locking all or some doors. You can change that in the software. My unlocking does work on a single press though...

Does a single press unlock just the driver door? Or nothing?

I tested it on mine. If you set the central locking to Single Door on the infotainment (Vehicle - Vehicle - Exterior - Central locking) to Single door (and probably Vehicle side) it only unlocks the driver door on a single press. Change it to All doors and it should unlock all of them using a single press. Mine does. Hope this helps. The manual is not very helpful in this regard...

Does the single press also unlock the boot and after you have done this does the opposite apply, ie does a a single press on the remote lock ALL doors and boot on exit and once the vehicle is moving do ALL the doors and the boot lock as usual? In theory this should be the case but I ask as this is VW software that is a bit unpredictable if you know what I mean. I haven't tried to do it yet but will if the answer is YES.

Yes, correct. A single press on my key unlocks all doors and the boot. All doors and the boot lock again on a single press, and yes, it locks all doors automatically once you get going (I think over about 15mph). Good luck!

Yes. And if you hold the unlock button down it will also open all windows and vice versa for the lock button. Useful in summer.

Thanks edge306. That is a job for tomorrow then. I'll have to look at the wifes Polo too to see if the same is possible. I'm still in learning mode if you hadn't already guessed!
