Hi all, have been on this forum for years on and off with Passat and audis, been hugely helpful!
Have just got a 55 plate 1.9tdi with BKC engine, the Mel light was on and emissions warning. Scanned with relatively cheap scanner and came up with egr flow restricted..p401..I think!
Is there anything else can cause this apart from the egr needing cleaned? Cleared the code hasn't returned so far.
I also have a couple of wings to paint and fit, but no sign of the paper sticker in back with paint code...is it anywhere else on the car, or can anyone point me to a good place to get paint mixed by reg number, or vin?!
    Any help greatly appreciated, Adam

So have sorted paint match, has no one had this emissions warning, and eml light?
There's plenty on the net but not found anything specific.
It's a bkc engine. Any help or pointers be greatly appreciated.

You need to get it scanned with VCDS.

The paint code is LB5N Indigo Blue pearl. You may have a clogged inlet system after the EGR valve

Wow..crusty. If that's what it is, can I clean it in situ, or dismantle further back from the egr? Am going to take apart at the weekend. And thanks for the code..was taking a bit of old wing in to match, but that will help greatly. Appreciated

Because time is money I tend to at least fit a new EGR valve as they cost about the same as my labour rate to clean and often the V157 flap as well but the manifold is expensive so we take them off, scrape as much out as possible and then leave it to soak of strong TFR overnight and then pressure was clean.
