I would have expected them to shut the injector down.

Very expensive but finally getting to the bottom of my issues. I've managed to find a used CAT that looks good internally.

A new injector is important. My DPF people DPF Clean Team say they are really struggling to get them due to it not being used on the Galaxy 2.

The one for reductant fluid mounted at the front of the cat pipe, this leaking is what usually causes the SCR cat to fail.

Thanks Crasher, they didn't change the injector but the catalytic converter is back on. Its running OK however another CEL showed up. This time P202A which is a reluctant tank heater issue. I thought it may be the loose wiring or something when they reinstalled the CAT. The tanks aren't cheap so hope it isn't that. Plus it isn't that cold outside so assume these only work in winter? My luck isn't great with the car.

The reductant tank heater is a common separate issue, in the cars rear left. If the injector is not replaced, the cat will block again.

Hi. Have you had any issues since replacing the cat? My 2011 seat Alhambra is going in to limp mode at 70+mph on the motorway and throwing up code p0299 and p2456 (drives perfect locally although does seem to perform regen every time I take the car out) Turn the car off and on again and it resets. I have had one of the two cats replaced but still going in to limp mode. Many thanks
