Hello, I’m new to the forum! But I can’t find technical information anywhere! I’ve got a MK5 golf that doesn’t come with front fogs as standard. I’m looking to fit them in. There’s obviously the standard run the wires from the battery and add a switch, but I’m looking for a cleaner, more professional approach. It started when I was looking through the Ross-Tech at the coding function... And found options for front fogs as DRL’s/ Cornering lights, stuff like that. From here I was wondering:
1. Can you run the lights from the switch in the car? (Using the loom from the ECU? Allowing the coding functions?)
2. Can you even get the coding functions with retrofitted front fog light?
3. I know there’s looms you can buy are they any good?
4. Is OEM parts worth getting over after market?

Thanks in advance!
Keiran
