ECP sell a Mahle branded sender (this is part of the Mahle, Hella, Behr "premium line") for less but beware of really nasty cheap ones https://www.eurocarparts.com/search/236440030

Well I manged to source an OEM part with seal for a £10! It was in an unopened bag from TPS.

But after removing the old one and fitting the new one (they do look different, the newer one has a longer cylindrical part than the older one......)

Still no joy.....guess I need to get it regassed....and then see....

But I am concerned it's just going to leak out all the gas again.....

Anyways replacing the sensor can be ticked off the list (condensor / radiator thing is also a new part but not genuine / aftermarket from ECP.....EIS Germany one).

What should I be doing next to solve this issue?

If after regas.....and it does same thing again....what should I be looking at? Compressor? Or pipework?

A competent and trained regas technician will do a vac and leak test before recharging. HOWEVER the compressor used has a party trick... EVEN when fully charged, with no codes and the compressor running it still may not work. This is due to the compressor being a constant drive modulated displacement unit and the modulator failing

@willdudeuk where did you source the TPS sensor from?
My AC has just stopped working so thinking of changing the pressure sensor - VCDS shows 0 in pressure meas block.

Managed to source one on an online auction site.

    didn’t solve my problem though.

haven’t had it regassed and tested for leaks so don’t know what the issue is yet.

If it is showing zero it is probaly telling the truth AND could also be the cause of the leak.

Within the HVAC control module, I used the advanced measuring info screen and you can choose to see whatever info you require.

After searching on a few forums it seems that the pressure sensor can be the cause of quite a few faults/failures. Will order one and once fitted, continue investigations.
