    The bearing for my ac compressor has failed and as a result the wobbling pulley has caused the drive belt to fail. I’m in urgent need of the car does anybody out there know what belt I require to bypass the ac compressor

    doh... it was late... I have just noticed this is headed Jetta Mk3 but that was the previous Golf 3 based model, the Golf 4/Bora is a Jetta 4. Guessing the engine is an ASZ the belt required would be a 21.18x1120 but would more commonly be called a 6PK1120 but he says it is a BXE so it must be a Jetta 5...

    Maybe the engine has been changed?

    It must be a nightmare keeping up with all the different engines, mods and variations these days.

    I remember struggling to identify Caterpillar parts years ago. They seemed to have changed them every few months, although the basic engines were from the Stone Age.

    I have never seen anyone sell caterpillar parts, what is replaceable, legs, antenna, pupe case?
