    thanks john, but not on the mk8.5. it does on mk8 no probs, owned 2, the 8.5 is well different. thanks.

    Strange as that it how it works on my Tiguan which has the same MIB-4 as the 8.5 Golf

    think tiguan still has button on left hand stalk, golf does not anymore, it is strange as used car for a month with no cars in the view, now there is. Guess I'll just have to get used to it. don't like it if following a lorry seeing a big lorry profile in between my dials though. cheers

    Button on left stalk in Tiguan is for windscreen washer. I am talking about the mode button on the LH side of the steering wheel as in this picture

    thanks , on the LH mode button get, travel asst, acc and speed limiter, when i toggle each one i stop on, goes green, but don't think they are on until, I press maybe ,ok. speed limiter icon is grey etc. If i select (not sure how still) speed limiter just puts speed, 30,35 etc under greyed out bit. cheers

    In both ACC and speed limiter mode the icon with the speed will stay grey until you select a speed by pressing OK, when it turns green an shows the selected speed. But in Speed Limit mode it should remove the vehicle image on the centre part of the display as that only appears in ACC mode.
