    Hi 2010 passat 2.0t
    After shut down . Fan goes full speed and reduce speed about 8 times then stop completely?
    Worried battery gonna die out .
    Any idea guys

    The fan controller thinks the engine is running but it cannot see the temperature so it is programmed to go into full speed mode. It is unusual that it stops though, normally they run until the battery is flat.
    Anthropogenic climate change, the biggest con inflicted on mankind since religion...

    I would start with a full code read of the cars electrics as the system used in your car can suffer problems that will make the fan controller go into emergency mode. If nothing shows up in the read then I would suggest changing the fan controller which is built into the main cooling fan. If you private message me the cars VIN I can tell you the part number and suggest some alternative sources to VW genuine parts.

    Not sure if it's the same as my car golf 2.0tdi. but I had the same problem. And got told I needed new fans. New temp sensor fixed the problem. Is your ac ok dose the little fan kick in when ac is on
