I can’t remember what a 1 in bit 3 means, off the top of my head possibly coolant below 80 degrees but I would need to check at work.

I've tried to google it but I haven't found any information about the 1 in bit 3. Or maybe I'm not good at googling these things
Did you find any about it?

Display zone 3 in 098, you ignore the first four 0's as they are not relevant and 0100 means "no current in throttle valve control unit (signal ratio = 0)" , in other words the operation has been performed correctly.

Ok, so it means it's been done correctly.
That's good to know! Thanks Crasher!

Now have to continue try and find out what's wrong with this car.

So what is it doing wrong and are there any useful codes coming up?

My uneducated guess is that it's getting too much fuel.
It also consumes quite much oil.

I got some fault codes for you

I checked around Christmas and I had these:

00537 - Lambda (Oxygen Sensor) Regulation: Lower Limit
00525 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor (G39): Implausible Signal

A summary of symptoms, codes and what's been done since spring 2020:

On the highway it lost power, no response when pushing the pedal. Came smoke, smelled weird.
Managed to get home and after that it's been going running bad.

It hesitates or jumps forward and lose power. Nothing happens when pushing the accelerator.
It's like you're accelerating and it just start to die but then come back again, over and over until it runs kind of normal again.
I have to release the accelerator and wait it out or drive very slow on 1st gear.
This happens mainly on lower speed. On higher speed it's not that noticable. But it is not as quick or responsive as it used to be.

It seems like it's intermittent, but maybe it's happening more under load. But especially after the car has gotten somewhat
warm and then sitting for 10 minutes and then driving it again. Like going to the shop and when coming out and driving back
    it starts to run badly.

Also when it is at it's worst there's a hitting or popping sound from underneath/bottom front of car.

I had the fault code 00537 - Lambda (Oxygen Sensor) Regulation: Upper Limit
Found vacuum leak and I changed the vacuum pipe that goes to the brake servo and a broken leaking PCV.

    After that I got
00537 - Lambda (Oxygen Sensor) Regulation: Lower Limit
Then I had the Lambda sensor changed (probably totally unnecessary and it's an aftermarket brand ESEN SKV).

It still didn't run well and suddenly started to run on 3 cylinders.
I checked and changed spark plugs, they old ones had quite thick black coating/deposit. I put in NGK BKUR6ET-10.
Tested the leads with a multimeter and one of them was bad. The resistance weren't steady when
moving the lead around a bit. There were 3 Bosch and 1 NGK, it was one of the Bosch that had failed.
I put in Magneti Marelli leads.

I cleaned the AMM and the Throttle Body and did the alignment.

I had the fuel filter changed. Felt a bit better for a day.

Then it failed on emissions test.
    CO-/K: 2,2%
    HC: 999 ppm
    CO: High idle: 6,2%
    Lambda: High idle: 0,84

Changed Temp sensor and it ran better for a few days and then the problem was back.

Changed spark plugs again, they were black again after only 5 months. Not as much as before though.

00537 - Lambda (Oxygen Sensor) Regulation: Lower Limit
00525 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor (G39): Implausible Signal

And that's where I am now.
