I have some deep scratches in my rear windscreen.

I do have a DAS 6 machine polisher. Just wondering if its worth having a go trying to polish these scratches with a cerium oxide compound. Or are they too deep and I'm wasting my time?

    What do you think?

Unfortunately, you cant "polish out" scratches in Glass. On paint, you are skimming a few microns off the clearcoat which you hope, take care of a scratch. There is nothing to remove from glass.

You'll probably get the best result by applying an optically (refractive index) matched UV curing resin and polishing it back. It'll be somewhat hit and miss on those though I think. See if someone at your local AutoGlass is familiar with that.
