Sounds like a control unit not shutting down.

Not everything goes through the fuses under the dash, but it will go through an A or B fuse. Put the meter between battery and a battery lead on 10A scale and we can quickly work out which one.

You might want to start with SA5 (immediately left of where the cable from battery bolts on making a gap in the line of fuses), SB28 and SB30 - they look like the ones feeding the under-dash block.

    Stopped raining so here goes.
Meter from B- to earth lead fluctuating reading.
    Removed SB28 and SB30 - no difference.
Disconnected SA5 and set the alarm off. Time to rethink.
Relocked the car and put second meter across SA fuses before disconnecting.
    Only draw on SA5 (100A fuse) 24-47ma.
Rechecked draw on B- and thats 27- 97ma.
Discovered the max/min button on the meter. lol
Where to go from there ?

So it sounds like there is another 0-50mA taking another fuse B path? I'd put the meter in place of each fuse in turn. Prob try SB8 first - radio and prone to being a drain point.

When you say "earth lead" to you mean a braided strap you've clipped to, or the -ve cable which you've disconnected from battery?

Yes the disconnected -ive cable to the body.
I thought all the B fuses would have been protected by the A's but I'll give it a go.
    Cheers.

No, the big 80A+ A fuses are outside the box because of their physical size, connection, etc. There are supplies to various engine parts, relays, etc that go just via a smaller / blade 5A-40A B fuse.

OK, in between showers, pulled and checked all "B" fuses.
Number B8 less than 1ma, One or two showing around 1 ma.
Had to make up a probe using crock clips and paper clips to get into a few.
    Nothing large showing ??????????
