hi there, I have a 2013 A6 with a vibration issue in the front end. The car vibrates violently under braking especially when lightly applying the brakes. i did the most obvious thing which was to change the rotors and pads. However, that did not fix the problem. I've also changed the wheel bearings but still no use. I have cleaned both pads and rotors to remove any deposits and also checked the rotors to be certain that they are true - all ok. The problem persists. I also think I can feel some vibration when accelerating and at higher speed but cannot be certain. Anyone with any ideas of what this problem might be?

Discs definitely fitted correctly.. seated aligned correctly on hubs etc.. ?... thinking that the hubs need to be totally clean to align the new discs. Is there no change to the vibration... given the work you have all ready done..

Have the whels recently been refurbished? I have read elsewhere that if the the contact point between wheel and hub is painted then it can cause problems with vibration as the wheel is not tight and flat against the hub

Another thing to check is that the hub flanges are straight.
I had this on my C5 A6, after years of new tyres, swapping wheels round changing discs and pads etc and still had braking vibration.
I discovered it by running the car jacked up with the wheel off, and noticed the disc was wobbling very slightly. Replaced the hub, and no more vibration.
