I normally drive on Auto height setting with occasional Dynamic to blow the cobwebs away and the car is always silent, today I drove in Allroad Level 4 as there was flood water on the road and detected a creak/knock on the rear nearside suspension, it isn't bad but on poor surfaces makes more of a knocking noise. Lowering the car to Auto or accelerating to allow the car to drop to Level 3 and the sound goes away, does anyone know what is might be?

Driven today and it is more of a rattle in the rear near side at low speeds only and only on Level 4, Level 3 and lower there is no rattle.

Could it be part of the exhaust that when on higher suspension settings has space to move but when the suspension lowers it is held in place? Just a thought

Just a thought, many years ago I noticed a clonking noise from the passenger front, but only if breaking fairly hard. Found the problem after several weeks trying to locate the problem, a torch in the glove box… it could just be something moving around in the car. Good luck.
