Hello, I also have a problem with my DSG- Passat B6 2005. When the car is in position P and I apply gas sharply and release the gas, the car tries to move forward and comes back as if someone is pushing it and "stroking" it. and there is a knocking from the bottom of the engine, clicking, metal to metal: banghead. when it warms up, this knock disappears or is heard very quietly. The oil in the box has not been changed, I have had it for 1 month. It has been serviced oil, filters, belt pump, water hexagon, etc. The speeds it changes them smoothly without a problem or I don't notice. That gives the impression of DMF failure and if you are in there and know what to do, then changing the clutch pack is a good idea but beware spending a lot of money on a very early 3C BKP car unless the balancer shaft has been upgraded.

@jmiim Apart from what sounds like a bad DMF, you do realise that DSG is a dual clutch electronically controlled manual gearbox essentially that will allow the car to roll back when in drive if you come to a stop on an incline and do not apply gas promptly after releasing the foot brake?

If you have the auto hold fitted and switched on it will hold the car without rolling back, but I find it annoying as it applies the braking system, so deal with the roll back instead.

Just in case you were not aware that DSG allows roll back.
