    Hi

Have just bought a 1999 MkIV 1.6 - first Golf, so far pretty pleased with it, but am finding the accelerator pedal really uncomfortable for any trips over about 20 minutes - makes my ankle and shin area really ache. I'm guessing that the pedal is just too high, but could be wrong. Also find that I can't comfortably rest my foot on the pedal as the slightest pressure depresses it. Has anyone else had these problems, and if so how did you sort them out?

    Cheers

    Jo

I have the same problems with our VW's.. I just lean my foot over a bit to lean it on the Center Console and rest it there.. Keeps me from getting tird and jerking my foot around.. We do use Cruise Control most of the time..

Try Adjusting you seating position to give your legs a different
position every once in a while. It work for me.
