Hello. I have recently started to get engine warning light on my car after long drives, 30 miles or so on motorway, at 70-75mph. The fault code is cam and crank correlation. No misfires, no drop in performance, nothing. As soon as the car cools, light goes out. However it is only after 30 miles plus driving, which is only about once a month.

I can drive around town with no problem.

Could this be (fingers crossed) merely a faulty and overheating crankshaft or camshaft position sensor? or the dreaded chain?

Mk6 Golf 1.2TSI 105.

Thank you for advice offered.
