    Hello, i have just purchased an a4 avant 1.9tdi 2001,the aibag light is illuminated by the speedo and on upper centre console,it reads-passenger airbag inactive.A friend of my says that it could just be a loose connection and that i could get the fault code cleared with audi software,any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

    There may be a fault. However, on my A6 you can choose to disengage the passenger airbag if you wish. There is a keyhole in the glovebox that is marked 'passenger airbag' and 'on' or 'off'. I disengaged it, just to see what happened, and I ended up with the airbag light on, when I re-engaged it, it went back off.
