Arguably, everything is digitised, as all the displays in VC are LCD.

However the Speedo. and Tacho. are digitally displayed as analogue clocks. In the same way that the Temperature and Fuel are digital versions of an analogue bar-scale.

I was asking to learn if the 'analogue' clocks had been replaced.

The only things that were not digitised (in any shape or form) in Virtual Cockpit were the fuel and water gauges. They were separate from the LCD screen. In Virtual Cockpit Plus, they are within the digitised LCD screen. I have amended my initial post on this thread to clarify further as best as I can. You can show the speedo or tacho as digital or analogue. My understanding is that you can do that in Virtual Cockpit anyway but someone may correct me

New Audi VC on this picture from new A4/A5. No temp&fuel LED permanent displays. I am not sure if I like it. For me it is just Audi cost saving since is cheaper to do some changes in VC software than to instal 2 permanent displays. I think that this "plus" means 3 variants of display: Classic, Dynamic and Sport.

By coincidence I've had a loan car from Poole Audi today, with a cockpit just like the pic above. It was a 69 plate.

I suspect that is VC and my 2016 Q7 has VCP.

The attached shows a view of my VC. The indicators are visual projections, excepting the Temp. & Fuel displays; they are only partially visual projections, inasmuch as the scales are permanent and the variables are 'lit bars'

I have ordered Virtual Cockpit Plus, and was told by the dealer that it has additional sportier graphic on top of the normal VC also the fuel and temp gauge are incorporated in the screen. Similar to the SQ7. However, still waiting for mine to receive it so can't give first hand experience.

Great, similar to what I've uncovered then. Let us know when you receive yours, presumably yours is sooner than mine, which is due late October/early November.

I don't think that all new SQ7s come with Virtual Cockpit Plus as standard though.

As far as I know in Q7 and Q8 the difference in VC Plus is that it contains only additional graphics: Sport and Dynamic. Fuel and temperature displays remain the same.
Enclosed the picture of VC Plus for Q7/Q8.

Was there a final answer on this in the end? Is VCP just the same physically as VC but with some additional views/graphics?
