    Hi,

I am just considering some options for a remap on my 2016 A4 Quattro 272, but i'm not sure what to go for - has anyone had a good mapping experience with this engine?

There seems to be a generic map out there which maps it to 320bhp & 750nm (553lb/ft) - has anyone had this one done??

Alternatively I have been offered a custom map by Angel Tuning which will take it to 328bhp & 671nm (495lb/ft), but with improved economy too apparently.

They both cost around the same at £350 inc VAT. Do I want the 328bhp with less torque, or do I want the wopping 750nm with less bhp??

(I have had a TDI Tuning Box on it for a while now which I had Dyno tested and its been running at 305bhp & 680nm - I've been happy with the performance but want more now )

I really cant decide - would really appreciate some help & advice please!!

There’s a few of us on the Q7 sub forum who don’t have a remap but successfully use the ABT Power replacement ECU. Similar uplift to what you’re talking though. More expensive.

Thanks for this, I have an ABT kit on my wife's S1, which has made a monster difference (from 230bhp to 310!), but yes it did cost £1500 and they seem to be more geared up for petrol engines, and don't get such impressive differences from diesels as far as I can see?
Plus I'm on more of a limited budget this time so £300-400 is where im looking, will check it out though.

Change on the 3.0 TDi V6 is 272->325 bhp and 600 -> 680 Nm of which the latter is the more noticeable day-to-day impact when doing moderately enthusiastic driving not flooring it.

Fair enough that's helpful. So realistically I'm going to feel more of a difference going for the 750nm I guess, as 680 is what it is currently running at with the box (albeit with only 305bhp). I just don't know how much of a noticable difference extra bhp makes...And i guess that much extra torque will screw my MPG.

In an ideal world I'd try both and see which I prefer!

Ultimately the extra bhp you’re only going to notice when you are hammering the car up to near rev limit, the extra torque is much more usable in real world driving from around 1500rpm up
