    Hi All,

Wondering if anyone has got a guide to removing the front wiper mechanism on my A6. Had wiper linkage come off, which from what ive read is common, but there are no guides as to taking the mechanism out. I've ordered the repair bracket from ebay which prevents the ball joint popping off again - doesnt seem to be enough room to fit this whilst everything is in situ.

I know the general way to remove the mechanism as ive done it on other cars. But space looks really tight in the A6 - with the ECU box and another electronic box towards the center of the scuttle. Does anything else need to be removed in order to get the mechanism out?

    TIA

Cheers. But managed to do it in the end. Was straight forward to take off. Even the arms came off the spindles ok.

Learnt a lesson today. Fixing the linkage abd putting it all back on the car. I founs the motor didn't work. Spent a while trying to work out why. Power was going to the motor so i thought the motor was dead too. Found a guy local to me, who sold me a motor and linkage for 40 quid. But fitting that, nothing again.

Wasnt until I happen to read a particular thread when googling that i realised the wipers only work when the bonnet was closed lol. Doh!! Old motor was fine
