    Hi all,

New to the forum, so please accept my apology if this has already been answered but I failed to find a problem similar to mine with the fault codes. Looking for some advice please. I have a 2003 A3 1.9 TDi Quattro sport 8L (!996-2003). A few weeks back, whilst my wife was driving the car, it started misfiring/juddering and the ESP light came on. She switched it off and then back on and the problem went away. this happened on another occasion again but disappeared. Yesterday whilst i was driving the vehicle the same happened but this time the problem persisted. I had the AA come out and they did a diagnostic with their fault reader. Below is their diagnostic taken directly from their email to me:

"Engine control 1 - 72P / Diesel EDC 15P469B - Valve for unit injector, cyl. 2. Error Message : Circuit defective.412E - Combustion failure cylinder 2. Error Message : detected.Miss fire from enginePatrol found codes for cylinder 2 Suspect injector issue"

I was wondering if anyone could kindly suggest what the best approach would be? I couldn't find anything with these codes so wondered if the AA code reader wasn't best suited to this older model car? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks all in advance.

    Harvey

Hi there, I've recently had the same issues with my golf pd150 arl engine. Cold morning starts would cause a miss fire for the first 5 mins then would clear or in order to get rid of the fault cylcing the ignition would clear it. This would also occasionally bring on a esp light? Did you find a solution to this in the end? I've purchased a Injector wiring loomas I know these fail as sumerrged in oil under rocker cover, Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
