Hi folks, done a bit more on Project Panzer, it even got a cut and polish the other day, very sparkly.
Anyhow one of the last jobs on the mechanical list is to fix up the fuel gauge which when plugged into VCDS told me it was the fuel sender issue so I've got the Audi repair kit and have tried hard to find a copy of the TSB related to removal of the sender and splicing the new wires into place.
However the Uberlame site that had all the TSB's listed is no longer available (404) and I'm struggling to find a copy of the relevant document.
Can someone in the know give me a steer in the correct direction.
I can't believe that it isn't available somewhere on the net but I'm stuffed if I can find it.
Please help before I run out of fuel!

Thanks for the help, indeed it seems the TSB you have kindly shared is a sender check rather than the fix.

Part number is 4F0 298 200 B which is listed as a repair kit and contains some wires, some plugs and a few scotch lock connectors. I'm kicking myself now as I'm sure I found the repair procedure somewhere but didn't bookmark it....what a clutz!!

I have found a list of TSB's on another forum and it's these two that I need from memory.

Fuel gauge does not go to Full after filling up

Fuel gauge reads empty after refueling

I carried this out on mine a year or two ago with that kit. It’s not a pleasant job to say the least, and you’ll need new seals at a minimum and possibly the rings too. Have a lot of industrial tissue around, it’s messy.

Basically all this does is replace the push lock black connectors with a scotch block type fitting. So as long as you get them replaced and actually manage to squeeze it all back in then you’re good. Start on the passenger side, it’s easier.

There’s two sides for the Quattro version of the fuel tank. The passenger side has a kind of tube that sucks the fuel over the middle tunnel to the driver side where the pump is located.
