    Hi Guys
hope you can help me - I have a 2012 A6 SLINE and i want to fit an integrated dab option to it - I have mmi 3g but no usb ports - only a jack plug.
Has anyone seen any solutions? I have seen ones that need a usb port to work so is there a way i can fit a usb port to say the glove box?

    any help really appreciated

I’ll second that. The DAB in my A6 with mmi plus is crap. In fact, I was going to ask if anyone knew how to improve it. It’s just as bad in the wife’s Yaris. Oddly, we have a Citroen Berlingo van in work and that’s got great DAB reception. Hardly drops out at all. Shocking for such an up to date technology.

DAB in my 2014 A6 works just fine. Virtually never drops out, only tunnels and such like, but FM fails here too.
No BBC 6 Music on FM!

I will second the lack of BBC 6 music on FM.

I fitted a Kufatec Fistune to my A6 saloon which works very well and is integrated into the MMI 3G+. Fitting and connecting the Fistune unit is relatively easy, although the power cable connections to the unit are fiddly. Being for a saloon I had to remove the rear parcel shelf and a piece of trim to connect the aerial and amplifier to the rear windscreen on right hand side. At this point some soldering skills are necessary. An Avant may have a more easily accessible aerial connection on the left side rear window.

It may not be the cheapest solution to receiving DAB, but for me the integration into the vehicle system scores every time.

    John.

The quality is appalling, many of the stations don't even bother with stereo. The bitrate is in double figures sometimes. Really stupid.
