Since yesterday morning my Polo can be started only by RAC rescue after spraying ‘carburettor liquid’ in throttle (below air filter), I can restart as long as it’s warm. Once it left overnight again same problem. All spark plugs, cable are fine.

More than likely the coolant temperature sender is stuck on a high reading so the computer isn't adding extra fuel during cold start. Did the RAC man scan for fault codes?

I think you are right, in morning coolant level was way below minimum mark, I have already topped it up. I would try to start it again in morning.
RAC guy din't had diagonstic eqp. I have already VAG COM cable and software to scan fault codes, RAC guy also thougt it could be one tempreature sensors, but I have have no idea where it is located and how to replace it.

Loosing coolant is nothing to do with the coolant temp sender unless the seal is leaking which is rare. On that engine I would now be concerned about a possible head gasket fault. Take off the oil cap and see if the back of it is covered in a yellow goo we call mayo for obvious reasons. You have VAG-COM so what codes do you have?

I would be doing code scan over the weekend.
Yesterday evening it started again and I drove it for 2-3 miles, while driving it's perfectly normal.
I would check oil for any mayo today.

I have oil cap checked yesterday there in no indication of yellow goo, I have received my vag com cable and software today. Most probably it's coolant tempreature sensore, but after scanning codes I would let you know. There is no oil on the driveway so I am not sure it's head gasket fault.

Hi, just performed full vag com scan, no fault codes. Should I go ahead and change coolant temp sensor. Any help in this matter would be very much appreciated.
Also if somebody can pls. let me know how to change coolant sensor.

The coolant temperature sensor is located below the distributor in a black plastic water housing. Make sure the engine is cold and release the coolant expansion tank cap. Locate the sensor in the housing and squeeze the two metal ears of the plug retaining clip and pull the plug off. Release the sensor by sliding out the metal or plastic retaining clip. Pull out the sender and retrieve the "O" ring from inside the hole. Reassembly is the reverse of removal as Haynes would say. Give me your chassis build year letter (wvwzzz6Nz ? Yxxxxxx) and engine code and I will give you the part number.
