    Hello,

I have a B6 Estated Tdi 170 DSG SEL. As standard it has 16" wheels not sure of the name of them. I think the car looks like a sofa with castors underneath. I want to change the wheels to something larger. I am not interested in anything which is not from the VW range and ideally something which could have been fitted as a factory option. I have looked at 17" but feel 18" would suit the car better? Does anyone have any suggestions and better still a location where I can view images. Also what would be the required tyre size. Please forgive me if I am asking something which has already been addressed. I have tried looking through older posts but could not find anything.

    Regards

    Nick

    Try these

I know you said you wanted wheels that could of been factory upgrades, but Wheelbase are a very good outfit, and have my reccommendation.

Towards the bottom of the page are the VAG range replicas.

    It's your choice though.

    Best regards

    Nick

VW do not fit 18" wheels as a standard option. You can see the factory options on page 29 of the passat brochure.

If you fit VW's larger wheels and low-profile tyres, stay away from potholes.

I have the 17" ' Monte Carlo' wheels fitted as standard to my October 2007 Sport Estate they are 7½J x 17 and fitted with 235/45 R17 W rated Pirelli ' Pzero Rosso' Tyres. I must say I like them and bearing in mind that the Sport models lowered by 15mm gives a very good ride. the big advantage with the 'Monte Carlo; wheels is that they are so easy to keep clean with no nooks and crannies they also happen to look smart especially with Shadow blue Paintwork.
