    Hi Guys

Lately been having problems when i am accelerating through the gears on my car. When the car reaches 3000 revs the car seems to stutter a little and whilst it will carry on accelerating it will be at a slower rate. This problem is at its worst in 3rd or 4th gear. If in 5th gear then car seems to carry on accelerating with no problems.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated

    Thanks

hmmm well welcome to the foruum both of you

as for the actuual problem, mk3s arent my 'area' but, im thinking it may be something to do with the throttle body? im unsure if these have a MAF fitted? the symptoms you describe sound like an air/throttle related issue so id firstly take a look at the throttle body, they can get quite coked up and i know these can then cause acceleration problems. if the cars running fine apart from that i wouldnt have thought it was a major issue.

does the car idle ok? what kind of readings are you gettin from the dash eg temp etc
