    92k on the car

Hi all, I know there are threads on this but they all seem very dated, I'm having the issue myself now so id like to go through what I've done (so far) and what I plan to do next, so...... this all started after a DMF and clutch change I was supplied the wrong units, the parts I was given first were sachs numbers

    336 44 0720 - flywheel
    641441939 - clutch kit

The replacement parts supplied after euro parts realised they had gave me the wrong clutch are

    336 44 0720 - flywheel
    641 44 2880 - clutch kit

All is now good with the clutch and flywheel but the hot start shake still persists ! So I have went through the following

    Clutch & flywheel twice,
Fuel, air, oil filter and oil,
    EGR valve
    Anti-shudder valve,
Timing with new belt kit and w/pump,
    Alternator and over running pulley
    Dog bone mount insert,

Low and behold !! It is still there so after lots of reading and taking the car to a VW specialist my next steps are to replace the battery with a duracell 72ah, 720 cold crank battery and also a new Bosch starter motor, it is mine and the VW specialist opinion that the starter motor is drawing all the power from the battery leaving nothing to fire the injectors causing a start/stall type situation coupled with the starter not disengaging fast enough, this is resulting in the horrible violent shudder

I'm also now having to replace the transmission and engine top mounts as they have been literally shook to bits

Apart from this a remap has been suggested but this is usually for the hot start issue where the car won't crank over or takes a long time to crank over when hot, I'm not having these symptoms at all

Any advice is appreciated as after I've installed the new battery and starter I have no more options to get this resolved if it still persists I've ploughed too much money into the car to give up now

    Thanks,

    Mick

Have a look at your torsion value mine use to shake and feel like a slight miss fire until I had a new timing belt, and tweaked the torsion value

    Well the verdict is in......

Put new battery on - no difference at all,

Put old battery back on and fitted new starter - again, no difference at all !!

Put new battery back on with new starter - hey Presto !! Hot start shake has disappeared, ive ran it 20 miles and tested it over and over and it's 100% cured it,

Thanks for everyone's advice on this
