    Default Help please - going to try an replace hydraulic steering rack - 2.0 tdi – 21-08-2018,01:31 AM
    Hi, i’ve searched for a while and can’t seem to find much. I need to replace the steering rack on a 2.0 tdi b8 2009. The steering has gone incredibly stiff at low speeds and 2 garages can’t diagnose what it is other than try replacing rack. There are no strange noises or fault codes.

    Has anyone done this and can share experirnce? Or has any info? I just want to know how hard it is and any useful pointers pls.

    I’ve just been reading up about retrofitting from a 1n1 to a 1n3 servotronic rack.

    I have found one with the right part number. Has anyone done this? I’m a little confused on where the converter is supposed to go on the rack itself.
