    Hi
I’m having trouble with my rear left calliper binding. I’ve just put a new re manufactured calliper on from my local motorfactors and it’s still binding. I was just wondering am I fitting this part wrong?, ie is there a proper procedure on how to bleed these callipers and when rewinding the piston back into the calliper should I undo the bleed nipple to prevent pressure going back up the brake lines. The piston in the calliper is rewinding nice and freely so I’m beginning to think it might be an ABS of master cylinder issue or could it be a faulty re-manufactured calliper. How reliable are re-manufactured callipers?
Some advice would be very much appreciated.. Thanks

Did you clamp the flexible hose to the caliper to prevent a loss of fluid?

    Hi Crasher
No I didn’t clamp the hose but gave it a good pressure bleed after. The calliper is binding if the foot brake is applied and if the hand brake is applied. The old calliper I took off was nice free too hence me thinking there could be an issue somewhere else.

Have you checked out the sliders, they are usually ignored when changing pads. I’ve had the same issue many times due to carbon fouling them or the calliper return spring.
