    Hi,

    I've just gone and bought a Passat B7 with the 1.6TDI engine and have this issue, was it ever answered @decker39

    ah bugger, I've found videos of this sensor being replaced but never for the TDI 1.6 CAYC engine. Did you ever have any luck with rectifying your issue with it?

    It is on the side of the gearbox behind the starter but has to be calibrated.

    Thank you very much Crasher. Thats totally my luck, a special sensor that costs more than just fitting. Guess i'll be living with it too.

    If my stop/start system went faulty I would celebrate with another vodka… but then again after two that would be not a good idea on a school night…

    I'll just crack on with my other issues, glow plug 3 U/S, leak on injector 4, think there is a very slow leak from the coolant system and the air con gets worse the hotter it gets or sometimes just works. I tell ya i can pick the cars!

    Got a a3 2012 2.0 TDI manual
    Coil light started flashing
    Start stop error on dash
    Takes longer to start also got
    Neutral position sensor electrical error

    And neutral position sensor short circuit to ground
